Nature published a study last week that antarctic is melting at an increasing rate, and the loss of its ice will contribute at least six inches of sea level rise to the three-to-six feet projected by the year 2100.
global warming is quantifiably real. we have to take actions in both our local and global lives to stop it, or else our future generations will inherit a planet far less hospitable to life than it is now.
this photo is of ice on the coast of james ross island, off of the antarctic peninsula during this past summer.
