Second home ( or first maybe😂) I get alot of questions about how long have i been going to the gym for and i think it’s about 10 years. 
For the first few years i didn’t know anything about fitness and i went there thinking if i do alot of cardio and light weights that i would end up with a killer body😂😂
Well i was WRONG!! Weights won’t make u bulky and you won’t look like a man, you will actually develop the body that u trully desire but it’s gonna take some time.
Muscle growth takes time, it won’t happen over night but you’ll get there if you’ll be consistent and if you push yourself constantly. Nutrition plays a huge role here also!

REST PERIODS! ⚡️ What is the optimal time between sets?

This all comes down to what your GOALS are! If you want to be building STRENGTH, then 3-5 minutes between sets is optimal. To increase your endurance/cardio fitness, 45 seconds - 2 minutes is best. For MUSCLE growth, 1-2 minutes is what I aim for!

It's also important to remember different people have different fitness levels, so find what works best for you. 💪 You don't want to be resting so much to the point where you've cooled down completely (usually at 5 mins), which means a higher risk of injury.

When the tax return comes *thru* and you finally have enough disposable income to purchase new workout attire ayyy 💃🏻 Took all of your advice and ordered 3️⃣ new pairs yesterday: 2 from fabletics and of course had to support my girl @katyaelisehenry so I purchased the Katya legging (which was acutually super affordable compared to gymshark and others). SUPER excited for those to come in so you can finally stop seeing the same two pairs of gymshark leggings that I wear in every photo 😂 stay tuned for an athletic wear review vid in a few weeks lmao

•I was born premature at 4 pounds with holes in my heart. From then on I’ve always been petite. Due to the 3 surgeries I endured as a baby, I have multiple scars on my body. From the time I began to talk, I had never truly accepted my scars. During my summer going into 8th grade, I decided to have plastic surgery in hopes of accepting my scars. Fast forward post-surgery...I still didn’t accept my scars. •I had been a dancer for 15+ years and once I went to college I stopped all forms of exercise. My fitness journey began in January of 2017 after I discovered Katya Henry. Weight training had never even crossed my mind as a form of exercise. I ultimately decided to try Katya’s booty building program. Starting to train was a struggle but over time, I actually began to enjoy going to the gym. I was never scared about bulking up like most women tend to be. After finishing the 8 week booty building program, I was so proud of all I accomplished and the results I began to see that I continued training. As a college student on a track to become a Physician Assistant, school can be incredibly intense. Working out gives me a place to help myself both physically and mentally. I’m able to focus all my attention on my training while still seeing progress. Since I began training, I have now been able to accept myself for all my flaws both inside and out. At only 5’1”, I’ve already put on 2.5 pounds of lean muscle since beginning my journey. This is a huge accomplishment for me as I’m an ectomorph and gaining any sort of weight can take years. As an ambassador I hope to show other women, and athletes in general, that no matter your size, if you put your mind to something you will accomplish it. 🍑🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏻👩🏼‍⚕️
