Leg day, completed it mate ✔️ usually do 2 leg days per week but my gym schedule is out of whack this week because i did cardio monday and didn’t have time to gym yesterday 😥 got an upper body day tomorrow and then another cardio day on friday yay! /ad/ wearing my fave crop tie up top from @myproteinuk 🥰
I have days where its really hard to just function properly. the important thing is that i still wake up everyday and i try. i try to better, i try to be more confident, i try to believe that everything is gonna work out like it should. that i need to keep control on my worrying nature, life knows what it's doing and i just need to surrender to that fact. things happen, change is inevitable. focus on being happy. #workinprogress#choosehappiness#nevergiveup#nofilter
Day 324...it’s the really special teams that are focused on the sum of the parts not the strengths of one individual. they compliment each other by having individuals who are strong in every facet of need. the leader of the team is also able to recognize his/her blind spots and confident enough to communicate them. it is with that confidence and silliness to be vulnerable that they seek out people who excel in those areas. more important is team success than individual recognition...324 down 41 to go “to build a strong team you must see someone else’s strength as a compliment to your weaknesses, not a threat to your position or authority”

comparison is the voice of the ego, always working to keep you in a place of fear. this fear-based way of thinking and comparing yourself to others is easily exasperated in the age of social media. today we view a very filtered and edited version of people's lives. scrolling through facebook or instagram is the perfect opportunity for the ego to sneak in and fill your mind with thoughts of negativity and fear which lead you to believe that you are separate from those around you.
the important thing to recognize is when the ego is the one running the show. the simple act of awareness and becoming the observer of your thoughts will help you be able to call out those thought patterns and release them. it's when you start believing them that it becomes a problem. one of my favorite sayings is: what you focus on expands. if you focus the negative, that is what you will continue to attract in your life.
a miracle is nothing but a shift in perception. the trick is to catch yourself in the act and stop those negative thoughts dead in their tracks. say to yourself: i am determined to see things differently. change your thought pattern and try to see if you can find a way to shed some positivity and light on the situation. instead of looking at the greatness in others and feeling bad about yourself, look at the greatness in others and say to yourself: the light i see in others is a reflection of the light in me.
don't be fooled though, this same way of thinking can also be applied to our shadow. there are times you can be scrolling through facebook or walking through life and you are so quick to judge others and call out their faults. in reality, the faults you see in others are likely the faults you don't want to recognize in yourself. when you find yourself judging others about their choices in life, their clothes, their spouse, their homes, it is a reflection of you and how you feel inside.
living your authentic life is a choice you make every day. when you are following your passion and quest for the life you wish to experience, you feel enlivened. have you ever tried that, "live your perfect day" thing? you wake up and do everything you think would be your ideal day. what are you investing your time and energy in? do you know? are you being honest with yourself?
what makes you feel propelled every day? for me, it is a mixture of becoming more fit, creating and pushing myself (and other things as well).
i try to step outside of my comfort zone as much as possible, because it causes you to live in the present moment. i am not an abstract painter, but i do try to experiment with different styles because it activates me.
I wanted to take a moment to welcome everyone who has recently started following my work here and also to thank all those of you who continue to like, share and comment on my creations in this space. i’m so grateful for the support of this creative community!
