Have you ever wanted to wake up early before work to get in a workout, but you’ve always been “too tired”? because same. but today i stopped making excuses for myself, and i got up early, and went to the gym.
and all i can say, is i wish i put my priorities first sooner, because wow it felt good.
so let me tell you the cold hard truth.
stop making excuses for yourself.
if you want to get up early to go to the gym, do it.
if you want to pay attention to your nutrition, do it.
if you want to drink more water, do it.
if you want to graduate early, do it.
but don’t complain about things that are in your control.
we often take for granted the opportunities we have at our hands, and we often don’t take them on when we don’t think we’re strong enough.
so whatever makes you thrive as your best self, take it on with your whole self. 💛✨🌻

if you guys didn’t know, i was raised on a cattle farm in small town arkansas🤠
we had anywhere from 80-120 head of cattle at a time. we would buy them small, keep them for a while, and then sell them for a profit.
when trying to beef a cow up to sell, we tried to maintain a steady weight gain of 2lbs per day.
hell of a bulking season😂
we would buy them around 300lbs and sell them around 800lbs.
that means that for about 8 months, we would have to feed, water, and properly medicate 100+ animals every single day.
rain or shine. sleet or snow. weekdays and weekends. consistency was key.
and if we weren’t consistent, they wouldn’t grow at the pace we needed them to. and profits would suffer because of that.
gaining and losing weight is exactly like that.
the less consistent we are, the less progress we make, and the longer it takes for us to reach our goal.
but instead of reaping the benefits through profit, you’re elongating the time until you’re living a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.
no day is more important than any other, but constantly putting in the effort day in and day out is what ultimately leads to success!
treat your fitness journey like raising a cow. if you want to make money/see results faster, then you need to make sure you’re being consistent!!

Easy breakfast recipe 🍳 pimping fried eggs alongside a variety of plants is my kinda party in the mouth experience 🎉

3 medium eggs
1/2 tbsp ev olive oil
100 grams of kale / brussel sprouts / mushrooms
1. slice the mushrooms + sprouts thinly.
2. heat the pan on medium add the oil.
3. add the mushrooms + sprouts cook for 4 mins
4. add the kale , cook for 2 minutes.
5. move to one side and c***k the eggs.
6. cook until your liking.
7. add the avocado on top.
8. season with salt to taste, i added some kelp for the iodine 🤗
also note - that the “golden” orange yolks do not intrinsically mean superior to a more normal colour. since taking this picture / recipe - i learnt that this egg producer feeds their hens paprika - which gives it this unique colour. this colour there doesn’t necessarily mean it’s more beneficial far from it, but it doesn’t mean it’s worse. this is common practise. from now on i just purchase free range / pasture raised eggs - for the most part organic which has higher welfare / living standards and taste better.
i would rather prioritise my budget towards eggs and other proteins being organic and use cheaper alternative cuts to the more expensive steaks etc.

if you are looking to get abs
that are thicker and have
more depth then give these
the way it works is you
get a bosu, sit on the very
bottom of the blue rubber,
put your arms high behind
your ears, sit back like you
would with a regular crunch
while keeping your arms
behind your ears, reach back
and stretch the abs, then come
up for a crunch and hold and
squeeze for 2-3 seconds.
repeat for 15 reps if you can
get that far haha it’s going to
burn. feel free to use weight
if you want to and for women i
wouldn’t recommend going above
8lbs if you’re trying to maintain
an hour glass figure.

to me it’s all about the little things💕 literally every time i’m able to get up & walk & eat by myself i remember the days when i had to get surgery & couldn’t do many things on my own. when you have good health you’ve got to make the days count 😍🙌🏼

Instead of 2009 vs. 2019 im gonna do 2018 vs. 2019. i’ve lost 50 lbs this year. pretty proud of myself 💕😭
Weight loss is a mindset thing.
when the going gets tough the tough get going right? pushing through, after starting to have doubts is hard. you’ve put in all this effort so far, you know you’ve done well. but your drained and can’t be bothered another day. what do you do?? ... train, do the walking, eat the cals.
but sometimes you need a rest. a rest day. rest day can still be an active day so still getting your steps/a walk in. i would stay on point with your food, don’t change anything or eat something “bad” because it’s a rest day. and all will be good. no need to stress about having a day off training... realising how far you have come should be your motivation. knowing that one day off is not going to k**l your progress, it will only make you stronger for your next training session.. physically and mentally.

I remember in this moment when these pictures were being taken i was complaining about my body and felt so disappointed that i was gaining weight. sure, i was in a new a relationship and sure i was eating a bit more. but nothing too drastic like how much i was gaining so quickly! this was around the time that i had started tresiba. now different insulin’s work differently for different people. i’ve had others come forward and let me know they had or have the same issue with tresiba and fiasp gaining weight. and although losing the weight has been extremely difficult, i’m proud that i lost 7lbs so far!!!! all from eating better, the help of @jennycraigofficial & switching back insulin’s! it’s been a long journey but taking it step by step and slowly but surely getting back to my pre fiasp and tresiba weight! 🥰 and before anyone asks yes it was from the insulins. i shouldn’t feel the need to explain myself but i know my body best and know what’s off about it and how it happened. and a few doctors, including my endo, have confirmed the weight gain was from the insulin’s. • • • • •
**workout of the day**
after being in a boot for more than a month. it’s definitely been a challenge getting mobility back on my ankle. today’s workout was a very high intensity leg day that i recommend giving a try
7x20 squats (smith machine)
3x15 calf raises (inner, outer, mid)
4x20 leg press
4x10 air squat with heels elevated
