This by far is the best waterfall i’ve ever been to! i’ve heard about it, but when i got there it exceeded expectations! the water was cold and refreshing, also when you get there they give you a bottle of water filled up from that waterfall. 😁

one of the many waterfalls of the western ghats. koodlu theertha in agumbe. 25kms from agumbe , koodlu theertha falls is a mesmerizing waterfall located near hebri on udupi-agumbe road in karnataka. hidden treasures in malnad, nestled amidst the dense forest of the western ghats and adjacent to the agumbe ranges the waterfall is the first fall of the river sita. it is also known as sita falls. fun filled trek to koodlu waterfalls with friends snakes and leaches will make the trek unforgettable.

I have very few landscapes images taken in costa rica as we are normally concentrating on other things during my workshops there. however, after many previous visits to this waterfall i finally got lucky with great atmospheric conditions yesterday afternoon, providing a true cloud forest feel!

There are several ways of ranking waterfalls, but whichever method is used the iguaçu falls are amongst the largest in the world. comprised of around 275 individual waterfalls, the iguaçu falls stretch over a 2.7 km length of the iguaçu river as it plunged over the edge of the paraná plateau. the falls are arranged in a way that resembles an inverted letter j, with the border between argentina and brazil running down the middle of the iguaçu river.
the falls can be viewed from either the argentinian or brazilian side of the river. 80% of the falls are within argentina and here walkways have been laid out through the jungle and over the river to provide close-up access to the falls. the view across the river from brazil is more panoramic in nature, but certainly no less spectacular.
this is a close-up view of salto bossetti (bossetti waterfall) from a platform on the lower trail. i took most of my photographs at iguaçu falls with an exposure of 1 second to blur out the motion in the water but now think that a shorter exposure would have better demonstrated the power of the waterfalls. what do you think?
