#tbt#dicadaangel#travel#southafrica#africadosul#paixaoporviajar#travel

The process of finding the perfect makeup artist for your wedding day can be tricky. how can you be sure they’ll know what you’re looking for, especially if you’re not quite sure yourself? here are some bridal beauty must do’s:
1.💄find a makeup artist earlier than you think. leave yourself enough time to have a consultation and a few makeup trials.
2.💄do your research. find an artist that you mesh well with and that can bring your vision to life. googling “best makeup artist” doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get the right artist for what you really need.
3.💄don’t skip out on the makeup trial. having a trial minimizes any surprises on the day - and if you ask for multiple trials, you’ll get a sense of what you like and don’t like.
4.💄test run anything new-for-you. having makeup trials is a great way for you to try out false lashes. they make a difference in pictures and make your eyes pop if you won’t be wearing much makeup on the day.
and lastly 5.💄step up your skin care routine. at least six months prior to the wedding, you need to be following a strict skin care routine, cleaning up your diet and drinking a ton of water. trust me, your skin will thank you on the day of your wedding.

What i put on my skin, goes directly into my body.
i honestly don't know why it took me so long, but when it finally clicked, i was horrified.
what products have i used on my skin over the years that have ingredients in them that i definitely do not want inside of my body?! the list is probably long.
but, there's also hope.
when i started using these doterra oils, i realised that there is natural solutions and healthier options.
i really started to look into all the things we use everyday that can be potentially harmful if we don't educate ourselves: toothpaste, laundry soap, deodorant, face wash,...
it's definitely a journey but i'm learning and one of my goals for this year is to have switched out most of our products to natural ones by the end of the year.
i started with face wash as it's very easy to make and anything complicated felt overwhelming to be honest.
here's the recipe:
✨essential oils face wash✨
1/2 cup filtered water
1/4 unscented castile soap
2 tsp organic aloe vera gel
10 drops tea tree oil (helps clear the skin)
5 drops frankincense (supports skin regeneration)
5 drops lavender (soothes skin)
mix the water, soap and aloe gel. add the essential oils and stir well.
it's really simple and the next thing on my list to get replaced is deodorant! if anyone has a good recipe, let me know please :)

Destination cape town
cape town is the home of the iconic table mountain.
perched between the ocean and the mountain, with a national park as its heart, there is nowhere like cape town. cape town, the “mother city”, is the oldest city in south africa and has a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years.
the unique topography of the region makes it easy to orientate oneself as long as you remember that with table mountain behind you and robben island before you, you are facing north, looking across table bay and up the west coast of africa.
#cidadedocabo#capetown#southafrica
Just as i had a look at this photo, i had a side look at the tv next to me (wow, two screens in front of my face) where a quick little sentence as part of a movie description popped up and made me think about the last days spent on a beautiful farm outside of cape town.
i was „forced“ to take a break from almost anything tech as there was no signal.
and yes, it made me kind of anxious. i was stressed because i wasn’t able to do my „normal work“, wasn’t really „producing anything“. i was stressed about missing something - important mails, phone calls, orders - because nothing. can’t. wait.
it’s actually really sad that one only values those moments once they passed.
now, being back on a couch in a highly tech equipped house i remember the two mornings waking up next to a river. the handstand progress i made on my yoga mat on a lawn ireland would be jealous of. and getting to know new people, doing things that changed up my usual daily work routine.
the little sentence i read on tv just now said „there‘s plenty of joy in missing out“.
