New mile pb 🙌🏻 - well that was a surprise! my calf felt tight af after monday’s random #breaking50 run so i had no idea what to expect tonight.
set out and felt good and just kept increasing the pace as far as i could get, getting to a top speed of just under 6 min miles! couldn’t maintain it but it’s promising for the future! first target is to go sub 6:45 and then go from there.....i won’t tell you what i think i can get it down to because you will laugh, but there’s a lot more to come.......belly’s gonna get ya! 😂😂😂 after i finished my mile time trial i added another 2.1 miles on to round it up to a 5km and went at a slow pace and was really pleased to see that what felt like a slow pace was actually 9:13 a mile, which is pretty much target marathon pace (sub 4 is 9:09)
so that was a massive confidence boost too! my “slow” pace - the pace i feel comfortable like i could chat in full sentences is so much quicker than it was, as my fitness improves, so does my heart rate zone running and paces 🙌🏻 aside from that had a great day and feeling really positive right now and smashing it!
can’t wait to see everyone at @ldnburgerrun on saturday 😊 but first it’s time for some much needed chilling time tonight - food, feet up, happy 😃

#ldnburgerrun - what a great day! managed to run the furthest i’ve run (apart from during a marathon 😂) since march 2017!
total of 17 miles today that went by in a flash! added a few before and after the #ldnburgerrun to get me to the 17 miles and i’m really happy with that 😊

Comeback trail - got up early and smashed my 5 mile test run this morning and there is very limited pain in the foot so i’m really happy with that and was comfortable at 8:18 pace which is also pretty awesome!
rushed to @cuts_barbershop to get my barnet chopped and feeling fresh now! 😎
annoyingly the cash machine then proceeded to eat £120 of my money so was on the phone to santander trying to sort that out for 45 mins 😡
back working and got a load of work to get through before the end of the day.
looking forward to seeing mia and having a fun weekend with her ❤️ looks like finchley 20 may be called off on sunday! i was going to try 10 miles of it as part of the schedule i agreed with the physio last week, but if it’s not happening i will move that to monday or tuesday 😊
trying to maintain the positivity rolling into the weekend though and was a good boost to get 5 miles under my belt this morning 🙌🏻 oh and that ice cream last night was insanely good! 😋
