Feeling quite shite so I’m extending my ‘treat yourself’ period another day. I bought these at the Gulbenkian and ate the whole 440 calorie pack at the bus stop and on the bus lol. They were really nice and made like a 1% improvement to my low mood. Creamy, earthy, sweet and savoury. This beetroot, chickpea and butterbean hummus is aa-ok.

What you'll need:
One fresh beetroot
400g chickpeas 
400g butterbeans
4 cloves garlic 
3 tbs olive oil 
2 tsp smoked paprika 
1 tbsp Hot sauce 
Salt & pepper 
Garnish with whatever you like. I used cress and pomegranate. 
Method:
1. Roast the garlic and beetroot in olive oil, sprinkle over a little salt and pepper. Take the garlic out when soft and leave the beetroot for about 15-20 mimutes at 180 degree heat. 
2. Place all the ingredients into a processor and blitz. 
3. Add a little water as you go and season to taste.

4. Garnish and serve with pitta bread.

Voila.

These same chemicals also form when processed meat is digested. In addition, the nitrite and nitrate preservatives used to preserve processed meat produce these N-nitroso chemicals and can lead to bowel cancer.”⠀

Walking into the weekend like😀😀😀... We often underestimate walking, but I gotta tell you , walking outdoors is my favourite form of exercise.

Walking outdoors gives us a chance to our head and get the creativity flowing.

It's improves our circulation which makes our hearts happy AND it decreases the risk of varicose veins. 
It gets our lymphatic fluid flowing which improves our immune system and our bodies ability to fight infection.

Walking improves digestion.

And you can lose weight while walking!

This is what I have pretty much every morning. A shake packed with collagen, antioxidants, phytonutrients, protein and healthy fats 🖤 @ancientnutrition bone broth protein @primalkitchenfoods collagen @foragerproject cashew coconut milk and cacao powder. I add in some leafy greens and also some cauliflower rice ( thanks for the idea @weeknightbite ) 😋 🌱 such a yummy drink that keeps me full plus gives me a great start to the day 😁

Recipe for 10 pancakes
* 70g rice flour
* 50g chestnut flour
* 30g oat flour
* 20g coconut sugar
* Pinch of salt
* 1 tsp baking powder
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1 tbsp lemon juice
* 2 eggs (or flax eggs)
* 150ml almond milk
* 1 tsp apple vinegar
* 2 tbsp coconut oil
In a small bowl whisk almond milk with apple vinegar and set aside. 
In a large bowl, place flour blend, sugar, salt, baking powder and whisk to combine well. In a small cup, place baking soda, combine with lemon juice and add it to the flour blend. Separate eggs and mix egg yolks (or the whole flax eggs) with milk and coconut oil. Create a hole in the center of dry ingredients and add the mixture. Mix well. Whisk egg whites until it forms peaks and fold in very delicately with a wooden spoon. Cook over low heat until bubbles form, then flip and cook on other side. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy 😘
