Happy thursday! roasted plums with vanilla maca granola and pumpkin almond butter for a post-run pick me up. how to 👇 thats right folks, i managed my first little run since the marathon this week. not great but it was so nice to be back out there. i think it's going to be a slow road to recovery though so baby steps! how is your week going? have a lovely day!
to make: - roast a couple of plums (halved and de-stoned) in the oven for 20 mins at 170c. it make take more or less time depending on your oven!
- while the plums cook make your granola. start by toasting 1/4 cup rolled oats in a pan for a minute or two. - add a pinch of ground maca, and a small handful of unsweetened coconut, almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, and chopped dried fruit to the pan and toast for a further minute. - turn off the heat and add a heaped teaspoon of fruit syrup (i used the one @sweetfreedomuk sent me to try for free 😍 which was delish!) and a dash of vanilla extract and give everything a good stir. - spread out on parchment paper to cool and sprinkle with sea salt. - it should be getting crispy after about 10 minutes so you can break it into clusters.
- serve the granola with yoghurt, plums, raspberries and a spoonful of @pipandnut pumpkin spice almond butter.

1 el magerquark o. joghurt,
-> haferflocken mit protein und chocolate powder in einem kleinen topf vermischen, mit milch und wasser auffüllen und gut verrühren.
kurz zum aufploppen bringen, von der herdplatte nehmen. bitte immer rühren.
zum schluss den quark o. joghurt unterrühren.
kirschen mit kirschsaft erwärmen, mit etwas vanillepudding-pulver andicken und mit dem winter zauber-gewürz @spice_bar würzen/süßen 👌🤤

2/mettre au micro-onde 2min30/3min
3/vérifier la cuisson. c’est cuit lorsque les bords se décollent légèrement

many products are labels as vitamin/mineral “fortified or enriched” and heavily processed and packaged. they often come with high sodium, fat, and sugar content. fortification with vitamins doesn’t make them inherently healthy or good for you. ⠀⠀
ex: breakfast cereals, especially those marketed to kids are a perfect example; some instant oatmeals are worse than cereal! ⠀⠀
the difference is whole oats vs an ultra-processed version of it.⠀⠀
in a study published in june 2019, they looked at 4 types of processing for oats. i’ll compare minimally processed (steel cut oats) vs most processed honey nut cheerios (oat cereal). steel-cut oats had a lower sugar and insulin rise compared to honey nut cheerios 3 hrs after eating. ⠀⠀
results indicate that sugars and insulin are steady and lower throughout the day when you consume oats in their 𝐖𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐄 form. ⠀⠀
in fact, other studies show kids with better breakfasts had better academic performance and less feelings of hunger when consuming foods in a whole form. ⠀⠀

in the end, just be mindful. letting your kids eat cereal once in awhile, while you’re tackling life is ok. there are many more mindful opportunities you’ll have.⠀⠀

A very very stressful night i had! 😓 my toddler has been having a constant high fever since yesterday in the afternoon and it got worst. just hoping he feel better i hate to go and put him into hospital 🏥 procedures! it just breaks my heart to see him like this, he always a happy little boy 👦🏻. to help me energize and keep me full for a good couple hours! to provide all my attention to my babies! i made this big bowl of warm chocolate porridge!
in a saucepan pan boiled 1/2 cup of water with 3 oz of almond milk 1/2 cup quick oats. 1 tbsp vanilla extra, 1 tbsp pure honey. let it cook and simmer until you reach the consistency you like.
after it's done cooking i set it aside for it to cool oof a bit while i get my toppings. once done i mix 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder with 1 tbsp cocoa powder. transfer to a bowl and i added blueberry,granola,chopped dates ( yes because i like it sweet but naturally), chopped apple, raw cocoa nibs (@terrasoul ), granola with raisins and creamy pb!
all ingredients serve a purpose they will fill you up and keep you full for hours!

a sleepless night meant a cozy bfast was in order and this one knocks it out of the park. all the grade school lunch box vibes in a bowl 🎒 .
to make: 1 cup filtered water, 1/2 cup @bobsredmill gf quick oats, 1/2 tsp madagascar vanilla, pinch of sea salt. heat slowly over low heat, stirring continuously until desired consistency is reached. top with coconut yog (i use @maison_riviera ) with homemade preserves, a big dollop of natural peanut butter, banana, almond slivers and cacao nibs. add a little extra plant based milk if that’s your jam. 🥜 🍓 🍌enjoy ☺️ - les

Guten morgen, meine lieben 🌿☀
mein unterricht begann erst um 9 uhr und ratet mal wer dann schon um 11 uhr schluss hatte. ich bin jetzt endlich wieder zu hause im warmen; es ist mir einfach zu kalt draußen. ich habe mir heute zum frühstück vanille oats mit haselnüssen, zartbitterschokolade, granatapfel und dominosteinen mitgenommen und es war köstlich. zudem habe ich echt viel gutes feedback auf das endresultat bekommen. von wegen, "veganer essen ja nur langweiliges grünzeug" oder "das kann ja nicht schmecken". 😊
