Happy Sunday! Chocolate coconut smoothies with blackberries after my run this morning. Who wants my other one? How to 👇 The lovely folks at @califiafarms sent me their latest chocolate blended milk to try and it's super good in smoothie form. I made these with their chocolate coconut almond blend and added soaked oats too to get a really silky texture. Hope your weekend is going well. I had a bit of a faint yesterday but seem to be ok today. Anyway staying close to home today just in case! How is your Sunday treating you? 🥥🥥🥥
To make :
- Soak a 1/4 cup of rolled oats in boiling water (about 1/2 a cup) and leave for 10 minutes.
- Once the oats have soaked up all the water add to a high speed blender with a frozen banana, spoonful of tahini, 1/2 tsp cacao powder for extra chocolate goodness, and 1/3 cup of milk.
- Pulse until smooth, add to glasses and top with coconut flakes, blackberries and almonds. And enjoy!

to make :

Happy new week! Raspberry and banana smoothie with cardamon chia anyone? How to 👇 I'm winging my way to Birmingham at silly o'clock but this was my breakfast yesterday and I'm wishing it was mine today. Luckily I've got some overnights oats in my bag. How is Monday treating you so far? Hope you're feeling ready for whatever this week holds. ❤️❤️❤️
To make:
- Mix 1 tbsp of chia seeds with 100ml of an milk of your choice. I used soya because that's what I had in the fridge! Stir in a pinch of ground cardamon and leave in the fridge overnight.
- In the morning soak 1/4 rolled oats in boiling water for 15 mins.
- Add the soaked oats to a high speed blender with a frozen banana, handful of frozen raspberries a little ground maca and a spoon of peanut butter.
- Blend to smooth and glossy.
- Add the chia pudding to a glass and pour on the smoothie.
- Top with raspberries, coconut flakes, cacao nibs and a drizzle of @sweetfreedomuk choc shot!
- Enjoy!

Happy Thursday! Roasted plums with vanilla maca granola and pumpkin almond butter for a post-run pick me up. How to 👇 Thats right folks, I managed my first little run since the marathon this week. Not great but it was so nice to be back out there. I think it's going to be a slow road to recovery though so baby steps! How is your week going? Have a lovely day!

To make:
- Roast a couple of plums (halved and de-stoned) in the oven for 20 mins at 170c. It make take more or less time depending on your oven!
- While the plums cook make your granola. Start by toasting 1/4 cup rolled oats in a pan for a minute or two.
- Add a pinch of ground maca, and a small handful of unsweetened coconut, almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, and chopped dried fruit to the pan and toast for a further minute.
- Turn off the heat and add a heaped teaspoon of fruit syrup (I used the one @sweetfreedomuk sent me to try for free 😍 which was delish!) and a dash of vanilla extract and give everything a good stir.
- Spread out on parchment paper to cool and sprinkle with sea salt.
- It should be getting crispy after about 10 minutes so you can break it into clusters.
- Serve the granola with yoghurt, plums, raspberries and a spoonful of @pipandnut pumpkin spice almond butter.
- Enjoy!

Good morning! Back home and fighting the jet lag with this apple, plum and cinnamon porridge. How to 👇 How are you all? What have I missed? I loved visiting Chicago but I've managed to sprain my foot in my marathon efforts so I'll be hobbling around with a crutch for a bit. Nothing too serious though. Happy Halloween! I'm starting my day with these pear, ginger, hazelnut and chocolate overnight oats after a nice sunny swim. How to 👇 This is definitely more of a treat than a trick. For the chocolate I used @sweetfreedomuk chocolate shot, which the lovely team there sent me to try for free, and it gave the most perfect drizzle. 50g Haferflocken,
20g Protein Brownie Double Choc @got7nutrition ,100ml Milch, 150ml Wasser, 1TL Backkakao, 1 TL Chocolate Powder @got7nutrition
1 EL Magerquark o. Joghurt,
-> Haferflocken mit Protein und Chocolate Powder in einem kleinen Topf vermischen, mit Milch und Wasser auffüllen und gut verrühren.
Kurz zum aufploppen bringen, von der Herdplatte nehmen. Bitte immer rühren.
Zum Schluss den Quark o. Joghurt unterrühren.

Kirschen mit Kirschsaft erwärmen, mit etwas Vanillepudding-Pulver andicken und mit dem Winter Zauber-Gewürz @spice_bar würzen/süßen 👌🤤

Apple Pie Overnight Oats 🥧 
With the combination of shredded apples, pecans, maple syrup and ground cinnamon, this variation with some peanut butter and caramel date sauce is a great recipe all year round, so tasty, satisfying and will keep you fuller for longer.

Ingredients
* 1/2 cup rolled oats * 1/2 apple shredded finely * 1 tablespoon chia seeds
* 1 tablespoon pepitas
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon (ground)
* 3/4 cup almond milk (unsweetened)

Ingredients for Serving
* 1/3 banana blended in with 3 soaked dates for a Caramel sauce.
* 1 tablespoon of pecan nuts & petitas * Banana coins
* 1 tablespoon of peanut butter 
Method
1. Combine the Bircher ingredients into a large bowl and stir well to combine. Place in an air tight jar. Refrigerate overnight. 
2. Serve in a bowl with your favourite toppings. #Granola immer wieder Granola. Ich liebe diesen Crunch, aber selbst gemacht muss es sein. So weiß ich wenigstens was enthalten ist.
Ein tolles Rezept dazu kann man bei @sallyswelt  oder @mrsflury  finden. Mit dieser #porridgebowl  bin ich heute in den Tag gestartet. Gut gesättigt halte ich es jetzt bis zum Mittag aus. #Oatsforbreakfast ist das Beste, was man seinem Körper antun kann.
#Haferflocken halten den Blutzuckerspiegel konstant und lassen ihn nicht in die Höhe schnellen, dadurch fallen lästige Heißhungerattacken gänzlich weg.
Die Basis sind hier auch wieder Haferflocken, die in Teilen Pflanzenmilch und Wasser mit einer Prise Salz und anderen Gewürzen sowie einer halben Banane aufgekocht werden. Einen Teil des Porridges habe ich mit stark entöltem Kakaopulver verrührt und Skyr mit der anderen Hälfte der Banane püriert. Die Kombination kalt warm ist genial und einfach nur köstlich. Einige Toppings noch rauf und schon hat man eine vollwertige Mahlzeit.

I prefer to make overnight oats when my next day morning is jam packed with my work or when I want to wake up little late 🙈 
It’s a such an easy breakfast you can have if you have a busy schedule and have no time to make breakfast in the next day morning. 
So to the overnight oatmeal, I made this last night in a cute little mason jar. Added 4 table spoons of instant oats, milk, honey, pinch of salt and gave good mix and put it in the fridge. When i wake up in the morning my  breakfast is ready 💁🏽‍♀️ I did not add any sugar or a sweetener to my overnight oats so I’ve added some dried pineapples, topped it with granola, hazelnuts and some walnuts. 
I’ve used original granola from @3x3granola and dried fruits and nuts from @bohemianquest

Hello you beautiful people! I’ve been absolutely hectic lately so I wanted to share the wonderful @milkwireoats, which I genuinely love, with you all as they help save so much time and I’m sure could help many of you too. I'm guilty of skipping breakfast due to lack of time, but their overnight oats literally take 20 seconds to prep the night before, so there are no excuses. They're pre-packed in compostable pouches (yay to no plastic!) in the ideal portion sizes so are the perfect breakfast for busy, active, conscientious people. All three flavours have a minimum of: -16g of protein - 6g of fibre - 280mg of vitamin C, which is proven to contribute to maintaining the normal function of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise. 
They're also free of refined sugar, which is terrible for you, and are sweetened naturally with dates, which are, in contrast, great for you!
The flavours available are Chocolate, Apple & Cinnamon and Banana & Coconut and they're all delicious. I make mine with coconut milk but you can use any milk you like, and for added sweetness I recommend adding a little bit of agave nectar and fresh fruit on top right before you eat!

🔹1 œuf 🔹1cc de sirop d’agave (ou autre)

1/Mélanger l’ensemble des ingrédients dans un bol

Ok I’ve gotten lots of requests to demonstrate how to make a creamy porridge. If you want creamy porridge, do not use water. There’s nothing creamy about water. If you want a rich porridge, use only milk & coconut milk! I used:

-3 cups of milk
-1/2 can of @gracefoods coconut milk
-1/4 cup of vanilla essence
-1 tsp of powdered nutmeg
-1 tbsp of condensed milk (or more to taste), you can swap condensed milk for granulated sugar to taste ✨I cooked the oats until it became thick which took about 10-15 minutes and then added nutmeg, vanilla, & condensed milk. This serves about 2-3 small bowls!

-quelques gouttes d’arôme vanille

-1 poignée de billes de chocolat blanc

normally after my 9am I run into the lab until just a few minutes before my next class. as much as I love learning to ropes and as excited as I am about my new project, some mornings I just need to slow down. That was this morning, and I couldn’t be happier. Asked for the morning off, got back to my dorm, and made these delicious protein oats, topped with sliced apple and my favorite dessert as of late, @emmysorganics peanut butter coconut cookies. The cookie melted a bit with the oats and sweetened them up plus gave them a little crunch from the peanuts, plus all the nut buttery coconutty goodness. Plus, I got to finally turn in this paper that had been driving me absolutely crazy. Another hour or so of dorm work then jumping right back into my lab project, and I wouldn’t have it any other way :) dEATS:

Many products are labels as vitamin/mineral “fortified or enriched” and heavily processed and packaged. They often come with high sodium, fat, and sugar content. Fortification with vitamins doesn’t make them inherently healthy or good for you. ⠀⠀
Ex: Breakfast cereals, especially those marketed to kids are a perfect example; some instant oatmeals are worse than cereal! ⠀⠀

The difference is WHOLE oats vs an ultra-processed version of it.⠀⠀

In a study published in June 2019, they looked at 4 types of processing for oats. I’ll compare minimally processed (steel cut oats) vs most processed Honey Nut Cheerios (oat cereal). Steel-cut Oats had a lower sugar and insulin rise compared to Honey Nut Cheerios 3 hrs after eating. ⠀⠀

Results indicate that sugars and insulin are steady and lower throughout the day when you consume Oats in their 𝐖𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐄 form. ⠀⠀

In fact, other studies show kids with better breakfasts had better academic performance and less feelings of hunger when consuming foods in a whole form. ⠀⠀

4. Be lazy like me and make overnight oats for the family. Mix 1.5 c whole oats+ 1.5 cup milk of your choice+ 1 apple or frozen fruit and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Place in fridge overnight and enjoy the next morning cold or hot 😋.⠀⠀

In the end, just be mindful. Letting your kids eat cereal once in awhile, while you’re tackling life is ok. There are many more mindful opportunities you’ll have.⠀⠀

many products are labels as vitamin/mineral “fortified or enriched” and heavily processed and packaged. they often come with high sodium, fat, and sugar content. fortification with vitamins doesn’t make them inherently healthy or good for you. ⠀⠀
ex: breakfast cereals, especially those marketed to kids are a perfect example; some instant oatmeals are worse than cereal! ⠀⠀

the difference is whole oats vs an ultra-processed version of it.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
in a study published in june 2019, they looked at 4 types of processing for oats. i’ll compare minimally processed (steel cut oats) vs most processed honey nut cheerios (oat cereal). steel-cut oats had a lower sugar and insulin rise compared to honey nut cheerios 3 hrs after eating. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
results indicate that sugars and insulin are steady and lower throughout the day when you consume oats in their 𝐖𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐄 form. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
in fact, other studies show kids with better breakfasts had better academic performance and less feelings of hunger when consuming foods in a whole form. ⠀⠀

1. be smart about which cereal you pick. go with ⬇️sugar, ⬆️ fiber, choose non-artificial food colorings. ⠀⠀
2. make sure whole grain is the first ingredient on the list.⠀⠀
3. can’t imagine life without your cereal? mix half fiber-rich cereals (like fiber one) with your cereal to dilute it.⠀⠀
4. be lazy like me and make overnight oats for the family. mix 1.5 c whole oats+ 1.5 cup milk of your choice+ 1 apple or frozen fruit and 1 tsp of cinnamon. place in fridge overnight and enjoy the next morning cold or hot 😋.⠀⠀

in the end, just be mindful. letting your kids eat cereal once in awhile, while you’re tackling life is ok. there are many more mindful opportunities you’ll have.⠀⠀

Ordered @oatsovernight because this student nurse  has no time to sit and have a healthy breakfast. This is the first time trying them and i love this flavor so far (chocolate peanut butter banana). We shall see how it holds me up!

A quick peek into a busy morning routine with no time to properly decorate the oats. The last two weeks have been a sort of light at the end of the tunnel period where I got really bad about oatmeal-making, but better about getting out there and addressing circumstantial problems. ——————————————————————————————

A very very stressful night I had! 😓 My toddler has been having a constant high fever since yesterday in the afternoon and it got worst. Just hoping he feel better I hate to go and put him into hospital 🏥 procedures! It just breaks my heart to see him like this, he always a happy little boy 👦🏻. To help me energize and keep me full for a good couple hours! To provide all my attention to my babies! I made this big bowl of warm chocolate porridge! 
In a saucepan pan boiled 1/2 cup of water with 3 oz of almond milk 1/2 cup quick oats. 1 tbsp vanilla extra, 1 tbsp pure honey. Let it cook and simmer until you reach the consistency you like. 
After it's done cooking I set it aside for it to cool oof a bit while I get my toppings. Once done I mix 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder with 1 tbsp cocoa powder.  Transfer to a bowl and I added blueberry,granola,chopped dates ( yes because I like it sweet but naturally), chopped apple, raw cocoa nibs (@terrasoul), Granola with raisins and creamy PB!

All ingredients serve a purpose they will fill you up and keep you full for hours!

A sleepless night meant a cozy bfast was in order and this one knocks it out of the park. All the grade school lunch box vibes in a bowl 🎒 .
To make: 1 cup filtered water, 1/2 cup @bobsredmill gf quick oats, 1/2 tsp madagascar vanilla, pinch of sea salt. Heat slowly over low heat, stirring continuously until desired consistency is reached. Top with coconut yog (I use @maison_riviera) with homemade preserves, a big dollop of natural peanut butter, banana, almond slivers and cacao nibs. Mein Unterricht begann erst um 9 Uhr und ratet mal wer dann schon um 11 Uhr Schluss hatte. Ich bin jetzt endlich wieder zu Hause im Warmen; es ist mir einfach zu kalt Draußen. Ich habe mir heute zum Frühstück Vanille Oats mit Haselnüssen, Zartbitterschokolade, Granatapfel und Dominosteinen mitgenommen und es war köstlich. Zudem habe ich echt viel gutes Feedback auf das Endresultat bekommen. Von wegen, Guten morgen, meine lieben 🌿☀

#Granola immer wieder Granola. Ich liebe diesen Crunch, aber selbst gemacht muss es sein. So weiß ich wenigstens was enthalten ist.
Ein tolles Rezept dazu kann man bei @sallyswelt  oder @mrsflury  finden. Mit dieser #porridgebowl  bin ich heute in den Tag gestartet. Gut gesättigt halte ich es jetzt bis zum Mittag aus. #Oatsforbreakfast ist das Beste, was man seinem Körper antun kann.
#Haferflocken halten den Blutzuckerspiegel konstant und lassen ihn nicht in die Höhe schnellen, dadurch fallen lästige Heißhungerattacken gänzlich weg.
Die Basis sind hier auch wieder Haferflocken, die in Teilen Pflanzenmilch und Wasser mit einer Prise Salz und anderen Gewürzen sowie einer halben Banane aufgekocht werden. Einen Teil des Porridges habe ich mit stark entöltem Kakaopulver verrührt und Skyr mit der anderen Hälfte der Banane püriert. Die Kombination kalt warm ist genial und einfach nur köstlich. Einige Toppings noch rauf und schon hat man eine vollwertige Mahlzeit.

Made some more granola at the weekend after not having any for a few weeks. Was very much a throw in everything I have in the cupboard recipe but worked out well. Stirred in chocolate chips after baking which makes yummy chocolate clusters. Also went for persimmon today (or kaki or Sharon fruit) what do you call it?😋

Dazu einfach eine Banane zerdrücken und mit Haferflocken und Hafermilch erhitzen. Mit Zimt, Ingwer und Vanille würzen. Und anschließend mit Mandelmus, Nüssen und Kakaonibs toppen.
