lately tuesday has been my “day off” from teaching cycle or pilates, but in reality it means spend an entire day either blogging 👩🏼💻recipe development, catching up on emails, errands, etc. but i’m loving it because i ••chose•• for it to be this way and right now, i wouldn’t want it any differently. #nodaysoff .
i find time during the week to sprinkle in my me time. like yesterday, i bought a new fiddle leaf fig plant and a new snake plant for the house (wish me luck on the fiddle!! 🌿) other days i might go get a facial or massage. 💆🏼♀️💅🏼or sit in the bath 🛀 for 2 hours and try to read but really scroll thru the gram🤳🏻 lol #transparency .
the introvert in me really like my me time. how do you find time for yourself these days?? i’d love to hear in the comments below! 😘

Tips to have a good workout👇🏼

1️⃣eat a full meal an hour or more before your workout. you don’t want to eat a bunch of complex carbs and fats right before your workout.
2️⃣drink a ton of water. water will help speed digestion and move food from the stomach. you don’t want to feel full or bloated during your workout.
3️⃣take a good preworkout like @1upnutrition pre about 15 mins before the gym. don’t over stimulate yourself, i only use 1/2 scoop and it does the trick for me. also, i’ve been mixing a little pre with my bcaa’s and loving the boost of energy throughout my whole workout.
when i first started lifting i would always go in the mornings before school. a mistake i made was i’d wake up and have a huge meal right before the gym because i was trying to gain muscle. then i would go to the gym and wonder why my energy levels weren’t there and my stomach was bloated. i’d take a full scoop of pre maybe 2 but still didn’t feel 100%. i should of had a light meal maybe with some simple carbs and a little protein, then had my big meal after! had to learn the hard way but you don’t have too, take it from me!

Hello, good morning! lonngggggg post but i cant answer all of these dm’s so people will have to read! 😉i don’t ever want to stop working on me before work bc it truly sets the tone for my day & no matter what happens during the day i have done something to work on my health!! not a bunch of time to record but i was on shoulders this am & did drop set. 12.5lbs:40 reps, 15lbs:30 reps, 20lbs:10 reps & 25lbs:5 reps w/lateral raises between sets. i show you in the video how to get assistance w/the lateral raises! place one foot forward & let the dumbbells touch to help you get them back up to make a t!! it wasn’t back day but it’s nice to check in on the area that you did not work & see that it’s in order! 🙌🏾 i run around like crazy in the am but the regimen works for me & i’m able to get out of the house ready for a great day with scholars & educators! oh i keep getting messages about that belt & people it’s a $4 belt from walmart that’s labeled a waist trimmer but it doesn’t trim your waist 😩 the material makes you sweat more! that means you have to already be doing something to cause you to sweat & the belt will enhance that causing you to release more water weight so don’t get caught up in that belt get caught up in the work!!! sn: i don’t count the calories that i eat, it’s just not my thing! 🤷🏾♀️ am crew...... legooooo!!!

Battling #lupus i always try to find what works best for me for pain, feeling fatigue, feeling depressed and honestly i can’t find nothing that works better for me. after rainy days my body is so worn out from the weather. days like today i used stay in bed the entire day but i find that actually makes me worst. now in pain or not i get up and and go to the gym at minimum i speed-walk the treadmill for 40 min with a incline. i went in feeling horrible at 6 am i honesty wanted to stay in bed and cry. but i pushed myself and went. not only was it a good cardio session it helped me get rid of all those negative thoughts i woke up having about this disease and how it effects me. i love the progress i’m making not only physically but also mentally. 💜 lupus won’t win this one i promise 💜 #fucklupus#momof3#lupus#veganlifestyle#nodaysoff#eatclean#gym#cardio#treadmill#treadmillworkout#workout#workoutmotivation#beatinglupusthenaturalway#vegan#buildyourbody

what do they say? work your weaknesses? — and @tylerobringer knows just what my weak point is on deadlift. if i can get the weight to break the ground, it’s mine!! so here’s some deficit work from today - 300 for 3 off about a 3 inch deficit. not bad for off season.
