Your thoughts are rebels... if you try to control them, they will stay put. if you instead are aware of them, they lose interest in “staying around” and naturally begin to dissipate. the key is not control, rather it is awareness.
an easy way to feel better in the present moment is to allow things to “be as they are.” this seems counter-intuitive to the usual personal development advice we hear of striving to achieve some external goal that will make us happy. the key is not this “or” that but rather this “and” that.
if we feel too much resistance in the present moment, even when we do take action it is action taken from a place of desperation. if we become too complacent with being static, we plateau. instead, when you feel like things are becoming imbalanced start to focus on including both of these polarities. know you are already whole and complete and that when you take action from this mindset that your cup is already full, you can then take leveraged action that is aligned to who you really are. any resistance that comes up is simply the identification with the thought that things should be different, and then we create a “gap” to aligning with ourselves at a deeper level. allow the present moment to be and as you do the paradox is that the negative emotion goes away. it can only stay if we keep fighting it. instead don’t fight it, allow it “to be” and observe it from a neutral place and to will disappear. sort of like magic 🙌 much love✌️aaron
