We continue our cremation😐 ceremony at pashupathinath temple , i can see 6 more of such ceremonies in this shot. the other actors are the holy cows enjoying the grasses grown by the river . considering that ashes of the dead bodies being poured to the bagmati river , it is a good thing that they don't eat cows here. our guide told us that part of the temple is for more prestigious families compared to the first post . i will show the most prestigious part i will be saying goodbye to nepal tour for this year. if you want to see more of my #nepal photos have a look at #dansmnnepal.
for who didn't see my previous post pashupatinath temple is a must to see at katandu. it is one of the most sacred places for hindu devotees.
this temple complex located on the banks of the bagmati river, is the largest in nepal. it is believed to be one of the branches of river gange , therefore considered to be holly.. it was built in the 5th century and later renovated by the malla kings. the main temple in the complex is dedicated to lord shiva and is restricted to hindus only.
