International women’s day on march 8 carries great significance since it celebrates women and highlights gender inequality issues faced by women across the world, including education, equal pay for equal work, ending violence against women and ending child marriages. i’m a strong believer that education is a woman’s best friend and until we give girls equal access to good quality education, the world will continue to suffer from child and maternal mortality, disease, and other byproducts of poverty.
later this year i will be announcing a project supporting women’s education that i am extremely excited about. this month, myself and my team at md glam are celebrating women through a special md glam promotion that ends tomorrow march 18 at 8pm with 30% off your entire purchase on mdglam.com. use code girlpower30. a portion of all proceeds will go towards a charity that supports women’s education. #internationalwomensday#mdglam#education#march8

Are you just itching to get your content out to bigger audiences? so are we! but, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take time to consider when the right time to hire a publicist is. while you might think there’s no better time than the present to invest in your brand, you want to be sure you’re ready (aka save some money before jumping straight into it). ps - you can download our free intensive guide for learning, “how to set you brand up for media exposure” (link in bio). the guide below covers four of the main concepts to consider before hiring a publicist, but this guide covers over thirty concepts that you need to know to get your business on track for success. also, can you really pass up free? (link in bio)
1. your brand is cohesive -
do you have a logo? have you updated your website in the last two years? do you have new content to share? does your brand match your philosophy?
2. you have content to promote -
by content, we mean brand new content. if you had something come out three months ago, it’s already too late. before contacting a public relations specialist (aka a publicist), ask yourself, “what new content do i have to offer?”. the time to promote new content is ideally 4-6 months before it drops. if you want our opinion, the sooner the better!
3. you have a budget in place -
pr companies know creating your content, photo shoots, and being you costs a fortune and with being an emerging entrepreneur comes small budgets. however, keep in mind that if you want to get the most successful release possible, you’re going to need to hire a professional. what’s the point of having all of this great content if no one is going to see it?
4. you are ready to work extra hard
you’ve devoted yourself to your brand, so there’s no turning back now!
