There are still amazing places hidden in munnar to explore !
and still beautiful as it is untouched and undiscovered.
mankulam is one such place where i found mysterious histories and interesting stories to dive into the beauty of munnar! 🍃
do you know !!
the very first ancient road during british era from munnar to kochi was through >
letchmi estates, mankulam forests, pooyamkutty -pindimedu - kuttanpuzha - thattekad , periyar river cross, and directly to kothamangalam - aluva - kochi by trek 🤗 .
the old alvy- munnar road known as 'rajapatha' in histories made to transport tea from munnar by british residents!
and completely damaged and became a dense forest path after the 1924 kerala flood , referred to as "തൊണ്ണൂറ്റി ഒമ്പതിലെ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം"
later a new route was made through neriyamangalam, that most of us travel through now !
and munnar - mankulam- letchmi estates- kallar- adimaly -neriyamangalam- kothamangalam still exist as sacred beauty of innermost portion of mama munnar 😌!
happy history of mankulam-munnar!
