i swear, one of my most asked questions over the past month or so in my dm’s have been “what’s in this?” or “how’d you make it?” in regards to my berry smoothies (thickshakes, cause you’ll need a spoon 😜) so it’s about time i shared the recipe! it’s totally gluten free and vegan, and has two different veggies in it (totally optional of course) 🥣 #healthyrecipes #acaibowl #healthyfood .

when it’s summer, i try and eat all the fruit and veggies i can to stay cool and hydrated 💦 and to make sure bowls like this fill me up, i add fat and protein with some fiber (hi fruits and veggies) 🍌🥒🥑🍓 and then some crunch on top to make it more satisfying and so i chew as i eat! plus, they’re so dang tasty and refreshing in the summer i cant resist!.

very berry smoothies bowl 🍓🍒:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1c frozen caul rice
- 1/4 avocado (can be frozen or fresh)
- 5 frozen strawberries
- a few chunks of frozen zucchini - 1/4 cup frozen berry medley (i get mine at tj’s)
- spoonful flax
- vanilla or berry plant based protein (ive also used the dark chocolate blackberry collagen from vital proteins before)
- spoonful peanut butter (can omit)

when i’m having a bad skin day, i always load up on low glycemic foods, aka proteins & healthy fats! this smoothie has ‘em all—it’s basically a skin clearing concoction!

SPIRULINA SKIN CLEARING SMOOTHIE 💧
1 cup frozen spinach
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 frozen banana
1 scoop vanilla protein
1/2 tsp spirulina
8 ice cubes
nut milk/water
