Desire to speak.
stories untold. allegory through an unspoken language. a gaze, born sentience. an embrace the same as ours.
elephants. a species i find to possess the most endearing aptitude of any animal i’ve ever encountered. time and time again, i’m drawn to them, inspired by their patience, endurance, and forgiving nature. they deserve a lot better than we’ve given them.
across all countries and continents, their disposition of a desire to connect remains unmistakable. searching for a mutual kinship, they’re constantly reaching out. despite our so many wrongdoings to elephants, their relentless will to relate is immense.
if you’re interested in reaching back, you’ll find a great opportunity to support a heroic organization that is on the ground in zimbabwe working to improve the lives of elephants everyday - @zen_wildislife .
in partnership with @action4ifaw , their mission to rescue orphaned or at risk elephants, rehabilitate them with scientific methods and love, and release them back into the wild is crucial and much needed in the region.
to support @zen_wildislife and @action4ifaw you can donate directly through the link in my bio. and check out the @zen_wildislife page to learn more about their program!
Jatiluwih rice fields are the largest in all of bali. they differ from those found elsewhere in that the rice is left to grow much higher and more mature. the area also grows many different speciality coloured rices.
there is a few loop walks that can be taken around the fields where you can watch the locals harvesting the rice.
don't forget to ask for one of the speciality rices at the local restaurants!

I had a wonderful time relaxing in tropical queensland last week. as much as i often advocate my love affair for the mountains and snow, it is nice to escape the colder winter months for a little sun and warmth every now and again. milla milla waterfall is unquestionably one of my favourite waterfalls in australia. there’s a beautifully lush and fun feel about this watering hole surrounded by palm trees and tucked away safely from the crocs.
despite the warm feels, swimming out into the middle at 8am was a little brisk but a perfect way to start the day. 🚁: dji phantom 4 pro + tiffen polariser

Not only can you go down to the bay during the day. you can also venture out 10 minutes into the woods near annapolis and going exploring and find creeks and old paths that lead to hidden treasures! @djukic_photography
In the middle of my hike, i stopped on the road tired and exhausted. i ran out of water and supplies. all the sudden, i see a local bus by my side with a smiling young boy waving back at me. i walked toward him and he handled me a bottle of water. his father was driving the local bus. and his son was his "co-pilot". when i was about to leave, he called me back again to handle a bag full of mangoes and said in a broken english "don't eat them all ...share it with you daddy too". i had to give him a big hug before i left. needless to say, those were the best mangoes i have ever had ... ❤️
