Raiders of the north sea || i'm starting to really want to upgrade the games i love to play. but i appreciate that this game doesn't need that. components are nice straight out of the box. they could've gone with just cubes. not pictured: metal coins, standard with the game and not some special upgrade.
only thing i'd probably replace eventually is the provisions... they're nice cardboard but still cardboard and could use a bit of a 3d element.
smooth gameplay too, this is one of my top worker placement games. i hear the expansions are great but i've not yet needed them. maybe after i play the runesaga?
Our last bit of gaming for before a long hiatus concludes with the beautiful second edition of pax pamir. this is another excellent game from [the ever-thoughtful] cole wehrle. historical, experiential games are one of our favorite genres, and this delivers joy in spades. featuring aspects including, but not limited to: fluctuating socio-economic climates, histotically accurate events and personas, wars, spies, betrayal, fleeting alliances, and gorgeous components to boot. not a bad send-off. send-off to where, you might ask? let's just say, we'll be back with a third player 😊. see you all in a while, and happy gaming.

Board game night! we played a 5 player game of vindication by @orangenebula again. such a fantastic game with great production quality. the end game triggers drawn at the start meant for a speedy game tonight. one of the triggers was when 7 proficiencies were brought the game would end. this triggered after just 7 rounds due to a couple of players needing them for various end game quests. the scores were generally quite close 73-68-61-60-46! love this game and already looking forward to the next play.
we love this style of game! and since there are so many out there that all seem so similar, we made a short list with six of our most favorite ones to help you find your next favorite. hit the link in our bio to read all about them!

🇪🇺: scythe is my favourite "harder" game. it's not really hard but it may seem like that at first glance. i only had the opportunity to play at 2 players and i'd love to play it at more player counts, where it really shines.
an engine builder and area control game. it feels really good when your engine starts working and get to use two actions per turn.
the game makes me enter ap sometimes but that's because my mathematical brain tries to control everything that happens on the board.
brilliant game with wonderful production and art. a game that will hit my table many more times and look for playing the rise of fenris expansion (so hyped for this one).
#boardgame#boardgames#boardgamegeek#bgg #boardgamesespañol #boardgamesofinstagram#juegosdemesa#juegodemesa#boardgamer#boardgamenight#tabletopgames#tabletopgaming#scythe#malditogames#stonemaiergames#boardgamessummer
