after 3 nights - again - i got the circles. just like 2 years ago i saw one above kirkjufell.
it was an extremely windy evening. i was trying to shoot sunset with no luck. basically i was not able to hold my camera. wind picked up so hard that i fell in the snow, and since the snow was very deep i disappeared :)
then i stand up, look behind and my backpack cover was flying away already so far away. i lost sign of it in less than a second as it seemed to travel extreme distance in no time.
the night came and i decided to try for northern lights hoping there will be a moment when it is possible to take a shot between crazy winds. it was an early night and there was nobody around the waterfall or the whole area. i think people fleeted because of the storm. i walked and suddenly my way was brighten up by the divine lights all over the sky !!! right then i made it near the edge of the waterfall and literally lay down on the ground holding my tripod with both hands. minutes after, this happened ... i must have been screaming and holding my breath in amazement and effort since i suddenly felt dizzy and needed to take a big breath. then a strong hail started to fall from the sky! the moon shined too and there was a rainbow.. oh ... what a night .. some time passed, i stood up and started to walk away while i got this feeling of gratitude, an overwhelming gratitude..
i knew my mission was complete.
when i think back to this experience now it felt truly magical. the struggle, the effort, the fight, the timing. like i was following some invisible force which led me into this unconsciously. made me fight for it with all the energy i had. and then showed me the treasure ... 🙏
