This was such a crazy morning. tucked away in a tiny swiss town, these massive lakes held perfect reflections and a low, thick fog on the surface of the water you can hardly see. the air was brisk, almost painful, at 14 degrees fahrenheit. yet the sun liftied and gave us some incredible first light.
The pilot, north greenwich. first rate georgian fullers house set amongst the dozens of new build blocks going up at a rate of knots along the river.
what sets the pub apart from others is the outside space. it has a generous front garden, roof terrace and very large rear garden that also boasts booths. extending doors also open out the dining room to the back.
pleasingly it’s pleasant enough inside for a decent winter session too and anywhere that has gammaray on tap is a hit in my book. beach comber & seafarers make for excellent offerings on hand pump.
i’m sure that many a scheme by thirsty seafarers was plotted here in days gone by and its funny to think the punters that imbibe here now mostly make their cash sitting behind a desk all day.
one to definitely return to but i’m not sure about that pebble dashing on the side of the building. you’d think that could be removed as it ruins the aesthetics of a 200 year old building. still, if that’s all i’ve got to grumble about it must be a pretty decent spot. you know what to do... #visitlondon#travelawesome#neverstopexploring#awesome_photographers#loveengland#photosofbritain#londonsbest#chilloutlondon#londoncitylife#lovegreatbritain#igersdaily#nothingisordinary#depthobsessed#visitengland
