Something I want to stress to all clients, current & future!!
.
Part of being on your body composition journey, is following a set of variables.
Wether it’s eating a certain way, training a certain way everything is done methodologically.
There is two types of clients.
.
1. The client who will follow the plan, without asking questions, without self examining and without really understanding what the coach is prescribing; And most of the time just generating false feedback, to keep the coach happy. Generally this type of client has gone through a lot of coaches will see success, but most definitely rebound. Of course this can be the coaches fault on part, as people have different learning stimuli.
.
2. The client who learns along the way, questions methods; Watches their body change from certain things, creates self feedback, and when all is said and done has the knowledge continue on their own making progress. UNDERSTANDS what works for them, it’s a process, enjoy the journey.
.
I challenge everyone to be more like client (2). This shouldn’t just be a “follow the plan blindly”, “trust the coach” journey, the only thing that beats a client having huge success for me, is a client learning, a client being educated and a client learning right from wrong in a industry full of BS.
.
YES no business wants to lose customers, but if somebody learns enough from me that they can self regulate and help others, my job is done.
.
I understand the confusion, I understand the madness.
But take the time when meal prepping, learn portions sizes, learn what macros and calories are, learn how you feel with certain training volumes and movements, take into consideration your sleep, what supplements are working for you. I use the world diet a lot, but I hate it. This shouldn’t be a diet, when I’m coaching you it should be a LIFESTYLE CHANGE, I give YOU the TOOLS; You can either chuck them out when all is said and done, or keep them refine them, and take them with you on your journey.

Don’t be fooled by food labels.

This Is quite common, lots of my clients will buy a product and assume it’s healthy just from the label/appearance.
.
Things such as
.
“GMO free”
“Free range”
“Organic”
.
And the list goes on.
.
As a consumer, I understand the fancy marketing and why it works! We are capitalising on evolution.
Remember hundreds of years ago, humans mostly operated as hunger gatherer type tribes.
The males would hunt, and the females would gather for berries, etc etc.
.
And for obvious reasons the females had to pick the safest, most nutritious and edible food options.
Because making a mistake could mean potentially killing your tribe.
And this is still why you will often see females falling for the fancy marketing food choices, over males!
Because we want to make sure we are buying the healthiest options for our children, partner etc etc.
.
And as of current, there really is a lack of data showing organic options to be better for your health, (feel free to message me studies otherwise), but they are definitely not better on the wallet!
.
An example:
.
However most of these fancy labels, and claims are B/S such as eggs.
Depending on the country, a egg company and can “cage free” on their eggs if they let the chickens out; even if its’ for 5 seconds. (Most of the time it is) Which virtually is less cruel, and just costing you more money.
.
The key 🔑 when looking at food items, is always looking at the nutritional panel/Ingredients; Don’t get fooled by fancy labels and marketing, save your money.
.
Of course if you have the spare money 💰, and feel ethically better you can do what you like; I’m not trying to defer everyone, just giving some advice :wink:.
.
Although there most likely is the odd caveat, my general rules of thumb:
.
▪️Buy the cheapest option of the item in the store
▪️Don’t be fooled by fancy labels
▪️Always check the nutritional label
▪️Always check the serving sizes (don’t be fooled)
.
Eating towards your goal, doesn’t have to be expensive.
