Weighing in on the mineo’s vs. aiello’s debate is tricky, yinz. first, i want to say that i still maintain that pastoli’s is the best in sq hill.
neither of these ‘zas are my favs in the burgh, but i do think they’re important pies in the pittsburgh pizza landscape. if the ny slice is characterized by their huge size, foldability, and floppiness, then pittsburgh pizza is characterized by its insane cheesiness and greasiness (not saying this in a negative way either - lawd knows i love it). also lookin @ u here, fiori’s.
however, for me, the winner between these two is mineo’s.🍕💕if anyone disagrees with me, feel free to weigh in! this is a #safepizzaspace, so let’s discuss (nicely)! 🤠
So happy i finally checked out @threadbarecider! such a cute space, delicious cider, and the pizza is amaaaaazing - crusty and thin, with unique seasonal pies like the roasted apple, and go-to favs like marg and pep. 😊 also you can get any pie on a polenta crust for those looking for gf/lighter fare.🍕
It’s so weird bc i hate talking on the phone 99% of the time, and use grub hub or whatever to avoid human contact when i’m eating anything but pizza , but something about calling to order pizza i am pretty chill with/feels natural to me??? can i get some fellow millennials to weigh in on this?
How do you feel about round pizza cut into tiny squares? personally i love it bc of all the crustless, cheesy pieces in the middle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also, sir pizza was the move after soccer games growing up. 👌🏽🍕
