Yesterday we lost our friend vincent @alohacrabs, to his battle with cancer. we have been trying to process the feelings, the happy memories from the sad reality of it all. through the three short years we got to spend together, he instantly became a brother to the both of us. there was a deep connection and bond we formed that we have never felt with any other friend before, which is why we often would send each other the 👪 emoji…joking we were a family of three.
we met on an instagram project in austin and we instantly connected through our love for photography, travel and adventure. many of the travel photos of us you may have seen here were captured by vincent. he was always down for “getting the shot” and meeting in any city. it felt like the three of us knew each other for years and he was so easy to talk to and share things with. it didn’t take long for us to realize, that was a gift of vincent’s…that everyone he met, he touched deeply. he knew how to make everyone feel special and important because he genuinely cared for all the people he surrounded himself with. we have never met anyone so good, so selfless, positive and full of light, even up until the very end.
vincent, you taught us to always hustle and to laugh at all the “bougie” moments in life. we will forever measure the friendships we make based on you. we will always ask ourselves “is this person a vincent?” if not, we just don’t need them. you are the true meaning of a friend. someone who is always there for those around them. although you hated being in photos, we are lucky to have a few at your side that we will hold tightly for the rest of our lives. we love you eternally. thank you for everything you have ever done for us, with us, and beside us. we love you. ❤️
